EVERYDAY IS AN ADVENTURE

As life moves along we find ourselves juggling professional jobs, owning a home, and learning how to parent with keeping our priorities straight and living what we believe. Our idea of adventure has shifted from scaling mountains and traveling the world to realizing it is more about an expression of your heart's intention and passion for life. Adventure is the ability to think big about who you are, how you live, and what you can do in the world. In the midst of life moving at a rapid pace, here is our attempt at infusing each day, each project, and each relationship with intention, focus, and humor. Let's see how it goes...

Since it was So Fun the First Time

Let me start by saying...
This is not a joke.

It turns out, I'm knocked up again. In case you are still in disbelief I'll clarify, I am pregnant...again. I suspected something "fishy" at the beginning of January which led to a positive pregnancy test (which was then thrown at Heath). I think I said something like, "I'm **cuss word** pregnant!. So, needless to say, it was quite a surprise. We definitely wanted more kids, just a little later. It has taken awhile to warm up to the idea (especially for me). The baby is due in the beginning of September which means I have to be big and pregnant all summer. No mountain biking for me! It seems like for awhile the list of "negatives" went on and on...

But really, when it comes down to it we feel so blessed. We have had so much fun with Bloom and it will be so great to see him play and interact with a sibling. I have talked to many women who have had children close together and they all talk about what good friends their kids are. And so our Brown family continues to grow, fast. We can't wait to meet our new little bean and experience the joy and laughter that he/she will certainly bring!

Here's to the Brown family band!

  2. Held grandson #2 for hours yesterday. I'm thinking a baby girl to balance things out. Then again, that baby is going to be greatly loved regardless.

  3. First, you're adorable. Second, I know how hard it was for you to get preg the first time but can understand your panic. ;) third, TOTALLY JELLY of your chil-free vacay!!! I'm not sure that I'll ever get one of those.

Here's to being hot & fat all summer! I'm right there with you, except I live on Vegas! (kill me now)
