EVERYDAY IS AN ADVENTURE

As life moves along we find ourselves juggling professional jobs, owning a home, and learning how to parent with keeping our priorities straight and living what we believe. Our idea of adventure has shifted from scaling mountains and traveling the world to realizing it is more about an expression of your heart's intention and passion for life. Adventure is the ability to think big about who you are, how you live, and what you can do in the world. In the midst of life moving at a rapid pace, here is our attempt at infusing each day, each project, and each relationship with intention, focus, and humor. Let's see how it goes...

Pregnant at Prom

Although almost every spare moment has been spent getting the new yoga studio ready, we took some time out this weekend to go to the prom. Yep, prom for the 21+ crowd. Nobody really wants to re-live their prom experience, but this is a chance at redemption. After years of maturing prom can be better this time around! And it was (besides the side aches while dancing and complete exhaustion at 10pm). This is what I learned from prom 10 years after high school:

1. My husband is way cooler than any guy I went to the prom with!
2. It is way better to not take yourself too seriously.
3. I still look horrid in red lipstick.
4. I should have tried being pregnant back then, I would have gotten way more attention.
5. A girl should always wear sequins to the prom.
6. There are not many chances in life to do things over so when you do things do them with great friends, confidence in who you are, and an open mind.

The Planning Stage

When things happen in our life they tend to happen all at once.  The last months have been spent preparing ourselves for what will most likely be the greatest event in our lives.  Our family of two will soon be three and we will  no longer be responsible for just ourselves, but the life our son.  We hope to give our son a simple life where he will grow up the way that nature intended through peace, love, and simplicity.  We are in the planning stage, determining  how to shape our lives, our home, and our environment in order to provide the best for our family.

As if preparing for a baby isn't enough, we are also in the process of moving the yoga studio to a new, bigger location. It is such an exciting move. This is a yoga studio's dream space, but it takes tons of work and preparation! We are trying to take it one day at a time, and depend on good friends to help get us through. Thanks to everyone who came to help paint!

Great friends who make life fuller!
