EVERYDAY IS AN ADVENTURE
As life moves along we find ourselves juggling professional jobs, owning a home, and learning how to parent with keeping our priorities straight and living what we believe. Our idea of adventure has shifted from scaling mountains and traveling the world to realizing it is more about an expression of your heart's intention and passion for life. Adventure is the ability to think big about who you are, how you live, and what you can do in the world. In the midst of life moving at a rapid pace, here is our attempt at infusing each day, each project, and each relationship with intention, focus, and humor. Let's see how it goes...

Christmas in B Town
My new nephew, Amos Pax, was born on December 11th just in time for our visit. We loaded up and took Bloom on his first airplane ride to Bellingham, WA to visit his cousins for Christmas! Three kids and four adults in a tiny space was a real "adventure". Life as we know it is changing; we listened to a lot of crying babies, everywhere we went we had to take two cars, in restaurants we took up a lot of space (toddler, carseat, highchair), we watched cartoons instead of good movies, we went to take picture with the Grinch, and on and on....here come's the cheese...but my heart felt so full the entire time. I still can't get over the fact that my sister and I are MOMS (but the cool kind)! Everyday I had many moments of feeling deep gratitude for the family that I have...it made me feel heavy in a good way, just full. Here's some highlights:

The Lakehouse Adventures
It has been awhile since our last post. We spent the month of July in SD at my parent's lakehouse. Heath built an addition for some much needed added space. It ended up being a little more work and little less play than we had hoped, but it was time away none the less. Bloom grew like a weed and when we came back home 5 weeks later, it was like bringing home a completely different baby! Here are some highlights:

Finally Summer
It took awhile, but summer finally showed up in Laramie. Life is happening fast. Bloom is already 10 weeks old. New this week: sleeping "through the night"!! He gives us a good 5 hours of much needed sleep. He is doing great and we are loving summer walks and being outside. We are trying to find a balance between continuing to do the things we love and "letting go" of some things too. Some days that is hard to negotiate, especially during biking season! We are spending the month of July in the Black Hills at my parents lake house. I am sure we will have lots of fun adventures to share! Here are some updated photos.

First Road Trip
Bloom took his first road trip to the Black Hills over Memorial Day weekend. It was quite the busy weekend. We drove to my parent's lakehouse and spent Saturday night there, then went to Newcastle and spent Sunday night there. He met LOTS of people. He did great on the drive, but definitely has a social threshold. He let everyone know when he had enough! It's amazing how simple a road trip used to be...Everyday there is great joy mixed with great challenges. My emotions are wild. We went to a wedding this weekend and I started to get teary right when the music started! I looked around and all the others with kids or holding babies did the same. What is it about Motherhood that makes us crazy?!

Happy 2 Weeks!
It's been two weeks to the day since Bloom shot into the world. It seems that he has been here forever. We never know what each new day will bring. I admit, Bloom seemingly doesn't do a whole lot besides eat, sleep, and poop...but every day he is learning so much and experiencing so many firsts, and so are we. I am learning mostly to trust my intuition and letting go of self doubt. I am a mother now damn it, I have to trust that I have a thing or two to offer my son. Here are some highlights from the last week. Happy two weeks Bloom! You are so very loved!
